What are the causes of Obesity?

 

The Healthhonics website shows us the different causes of obesity. It shows us two different types of causes including dietary and non-dietary causes.

 

 

Dietary Causes:

  • Eating a large amount of Junk Food Instead of Healthy Food

  • Eating a lot of Processed Food instead of including Home Cooked Food in your diet

  • Drinking sugary and sweet drinks that are cold every day in large amounts

  • Eating things that have soya beans in it all the time (Obesogens)

  • Not enough fibre in the food you are eating

  • Eating fruit and vegetables and not washing your hands and the fruit/vegetables before which causes pesticides to go into our stomach

  • Having too much vegetable oil in our foods because they have a high amount of fatty acids

 

Non-dietary Causes:

  • Lack of exercise with a lazy lifestyle

  • Not enough sleep or too much sleep

  • Anxiety or depression

  • Not enough sunlight or foods that have Vitamin D in them

  • Wrong Eating Habits

  • Not enough water intake

Really what I think the main problem is that we need to live a healthy and active lifestyle and keep burning calories until you are around the Average weight.
